We need to be planting little forests everywhere because of 1) extreme heat. Plant little forests because they grow to maturity in 20-30 years and they will respire cool moist air at night and cool down a neighbourhood. 2) extreme rain events. Little forests can absorb all that force of extreme rain, buffer it, and send it down through the roots, down into the ground, into the deep soil and aquifers where it belongs instead of flooding streets and houses.
